Lemons
Lemons are known to be delicious, healthy as well as beneficial in
lightening the skin as well as the hair. Lemon juice contains acids
which can act as a mild and natural bleach for the skin as well as
the hair so it would make a great option for women who want to
obtain a lighter hair shade.
The results will not be dramatic, but the longer the lemon juice
can act on the hair the more visible the effects will be. Apply
freshly squeezed lemon juice on your hair and allow it to work for
about 4 hours or so. If you feel that your scalp is itching wash it
off and try again another time.
The lemon juice works better if the hair is exposed to the sun so
apply the lemon juice on your hair an get a fabulous natural tan at
the same time.
Wash and condition the hair as usual!
Cinnamon
Cinnamon does not only taste delicious, it can be also a great aid
in lightening naturally your hair color. You can prepare a mixture
of grounded cinnamon, honey, water and olive oil and apply it on
your hair to lighten it. Honey and cinnamon contain ingredients
which act as a natural hydrogen peroxide, thus if applied on the
hair a certain degree of hair lightening will become visible. Mix ½
cup of honey with 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of extra virgin
olive oil and 3 tablespoons of grounded cinnamon. You can increase
the amount of ingredients added depending on the length of your
hair. It is better to add more cinnamon than less to ensure an even
discoloration.
Apply the mixture on your hair and allow it to work on your hair
for at least 4 hours. The longer you leave the mixture on the more
visible the results will be, however keep in mind that you will
only be able to achieve a maximum 2 tone lighter shade.
Wrap your hair in a warm towel or apply a shower cap on to prevent
the mixture from dripping on your clothes and carpets.
After the desired time has passed wash and condition your hair as
usual.
