Beyonce shows off her new body on the cover of the April 2013 issue of Shape magazine. In the accompanying interview, the diva dishes out on some of the secrets that helped her regain her svelte figure. Find out how she did it!
For the many fans who wondered about Beyonce's post baby weight
loss plan, the Shape April 2013 issue is definitely a must-buy
as it finally sheds light on the mystery. The diva was almost
always in the spotlight, which means the pressure to look her best
was always felt intensively.
Beyonce's weight gain during pregnancy of 57 pounds sure
proved a challenge, however, the diva tackled the process with the
same ambition with which she tackles her professional life and,
sure enough, her hard work and dedication payed off, as her latest
Shape photoshoot proves.
If Beyonce's post baby body photos have stirred your
curiosity, you'll be glad to know that the diva decided to share
some of the tips that helped her achieve her goal. Though for many
celebs weight gain is a sensitive subject which is avoided many
times, the diva chose to openly discuss the issue in order to help
inspire women who face similar challenges.
The diva admits that she rushed to return to her professional life
early on, a thing which, in retrospect she slightly regrets: “I
didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a
show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do
again!”
This perhaps one of the reasons she opted for a very low calorie diet. Still,
Beyonce did some healthy
substitutions that helped her get the nutrients she needed: “I
stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and
rice with quinoa,” the diva told Shape magazine. Although some
might think that Beyonce's post baby diet is centered around plenty
of sacrifices and deprivation, the truth is that the diva's diet
does leave some room for indulging. It is a well known fact that
severe restrictions often lead to binges which is why indulging
once in a while is a smart strategy.
This smart strategy was also adopted by the star who revealed her
favorite treat: “I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg
whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat
milk. For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And
throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated… I always treat myself
to one meal on Sundays when I can have whatever I want. Usually
it’s pizza, which is my favorite indulgence.”
As far as Beyonce's post baby workout is concerned, her
dance routine definitely played a crucial role. For more
interesting insights on the star's weight loss success and the
secrets behind it, be sure to pick up the Shape April 2013 issue
which hits the newsstands later this month.
