Victoria's Secret Angel, Adriana Lima, reveals her secrets to looking so amazing on the catwalk and how she's getting ready for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It seems that there is plenty of hard work behind each event of such amplitude, as Adriana's pre VS show diet plan and intense exercise routine reveals!

Having a body that is admired by both men and women all over the world is definitely any woman's dream and one of the women who doesn't go by unnoticed because of her stunning beauty and fit physique is Adriana Lima. The Victoria's Secret model, mother of one, has not been shy on revealing to her fans her pre Victoria's Secret fashion show diet plan.

The Brazilian beauty reveals that it's not all good genes that matter when it comes to having a killer body, but a serious workout and diet plan. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is one of the biggest and most glamorous lingerie fashion shows in the world and everyone will be watching the Angels strutting their hot bodies on the runways wearing some of the new season's hottest lingerie styles. This places a lot of pressure on the models to make sure they are in perfect shape and Adriana Lima isn't shy to admit that she goes to a dramatic length to make sure she looks perfect.

According to her statement, the Brazilian hottie indulges in two workout sessions a day prior to the annual VS show plus a drastic diet. Adriana says that she turns towards protein shakes made from powdered eggs and drinks a gallon of water a day. However, prior to the big day, more accurately 12 hours before the show she doesn't drink anything any more as she says:
“No liquids at all so you dry out, sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that.”

The diva has no solid foods for 9 days prior to the show and works out hard doing boxing as well as weight lifting to shed pounds and tone down at the same time. Adriana admits she has started an intense once a day workout since August and doubled her workout session three weeks prior to the show. She says that:

“It is really intense, it's not really the amount of time you spend working out, it's the intensity: I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.”

According to her, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is the highlight of her life, so the efforts are well worth the result.

“Actually, the Victoria's Secret show is the highlight of my life. Becoming an Angel, once I achieved that, it was a dream-come-true for me. And I know that after all this is done, when I sit down with my daughter one day we are going to look back and it's going to be very special.”
