I feel there are two ways you could go:
1. You could play up the red (however if you have a reddish tone in your skin I would suggest staying away from this idea) See the first picture below
2. Pair the dress with turquoise accents like a chunky turquoise necklace and bracelet, nude heels and maybe light blue feather earrings

What kind of makeup, hair and accessories go well with a red dress?
About me: I have extremely pale, nordic skin. My hair is long and dyed a natural black and I have blue eyes. I'm 17 years old.
Body type: hourglass, slim
Occassion: my boyfriend's grandmother's 70th birthday (I wish to make a good first impression)
My dress is just a simple, red dress. The shade is not too bright or dark, but more on the bright side. Its more of a casual than formal event, since its in the summer, but people are still gonna dress nice. My accessory collection is limited, since I'm more of a band shirt and distressed jeans type and not into fashion. I'm dressing up because as I said, I wish to make a good first impression. I do know how to walk in heels and how to do my hair and makeup.
