See the luxurious footwear styles lined up in the Jason Wu Fall 2012 Shoes Collection. Sharp and minimalist silhouettes all inspired by Chinese culture.
The 29-years-old designer decided to turn to his roots to take
inspiration from a culture which has so much to offer to the world.
Jason Wu wanted to breathe life
into his Eastern spirit, therefore he decided to travel to Taiwan.
The designer revealed that, “I went back to Taiwan, where I was
born, a year and a half ago”. He added, “I realized I was ready to
take on one of the biggest subjects I grew up with, how does a
Chinese designer do ‘China’? I’ve lived in America, Canada, and
Japan, but to come back to this means so much to me.”
The Jason Wu fall 2012 shoes collection illustrates the
main inspiration of the style creator who decided to concentrate on
more luxurious and ultra-refined design patterns. The sharp
silhouettes teamed up with a limited and dark chromatic spectrum
all make reference to the Qung dynasty, a 1932 movie called
'Shanghai Express' and Mao's military force. Instead of sticking to
traditional and monotonous elements, Jason Wu wanted to add a
modern twist to all these amazing accessories.
The ultra-sophisticated embellishments, bead and quilting details
all reflect the unique style vision of the young designer. The
Jason Wu girl of the moment has the chance to join the army of
marching supermodels by sporting some of these gorgeous ankle boots
and strappy sandals.
Jason Wu is a master of creating the perfect atmosphere for a
strong and stand-out style parade. The color palette used in this
collection is limited to gold, black red and burgundy. Incorporate
some of these statement booties and gorgeous sandals into your
rainy season wardrobe to rock a neat and luxe ensemble. Share the
love affair of the designer for sharp angles and refined leather
glammed up with glittery glam details. Discover the cultural
