After designers first got to show their new collections in New York, London took over, bringing some new ideas and more of the same to the table. ‘70s influences dominated most of the runways, while J.W. Anderson went more in the direction of the ‘80s.

Check out the biggest London Fashion Week AW15 trends and decide which ones you’re looking forward to including in your fall wardrobe soon. From fringe and orange to unexpected trends like brocade and velvet, here are the most interesting looks from LFW.

High Collars

High necks showed up in a wide variety of shapes on the London runways. From high collars to polo necks and roll necks, they were a big presence in collections from Topshop Unique, Bora Aksu, Daks, and Emilia Wickstead.

The color showed up everywhere from coats to dresses, in collections from David Koma, Amanda Wakely, and Sibling.

Fringe

The most recognizable retro element from the ‘70s, fringe was a big deal in London, showing up everywhere from Burberry to Julien Macdonald. If the idea of fringed skirts and dresses is too much for your style, you’ll still find plenty of accessories with fringe, from boots to bags. Or you could embrace the boho style this fall and go with double fringe.

Red

Temperley London, Erdem, Issa, House of Holland, and many more collections featured lots of red, from head to toe looks to matching red dresses and shoes. When you’re looking for a bolder fall look, red is definitely the way to go.
