Montreal-based label Mackage will be launching its first ever handbag collection in the upcoming season. Take a peek at the new offerings.
Celeb-favorite Mackage is venturing into handbag business
with its first collection of the sort which brings several
covetable alternatives into the spotlight. Designers Eran Elfassy
and Elisa Dahan are turning their attention towards the accessories
sector after many fabulous coats which have made style icons like
Halle Berry, Blake Lively and Gwyneth Paltrow fall in love since
the early 2000s. The first Mackage handbag collection will feature
12 covetable handbag designs which will feature
the Canadian's brand signature leather detailing and will reflect a
modern perspective with plenty of timeless details which will
definitely fashionistas fall in love.
Sticking with what the label has become well known for is certainly
a smart strategy which was reveled by designer Eran Elfassy who
told WWD.com: “We strived to mirror the mixed-media elements that
we have come to be known for in our coats.” Taking a simple glance
at the new Mackage bags we can immediately see that the new
alternatives have a great potential to match the success of the
already popular coats.
The Mackage handbags have a strong versatile component given
both by the perfectly defined shapes and by the careful chosen
color palette which stays mostly on the neutral side with a few
bold color accents for added visual impact. Exotic skin textures,
used in moderation in addition to gorgeous metallic details are two
simple yet extremely effective ways to transform the designs into
covetable signature pieces and the new Mackage handbags for fall
2013 can definitely fit the role.
In addition to the alternatives already presented, the label will
also bring a style created in collaboration with Megs Mahoney
Dusil, the cofounder of PurseBlog. The new line looks promising
already, especially since many handbags can be adapted to many
needs featuring both handles and cross-body straps. The first
Mackage bags will have a price range between $225 and $600 and will
be available starting with July 15 on the brand's website. We
cannot wait to see what other handbags besides Pozy, Carrita,
Bookie and Rubie will be tempting us in the upcoming
months.
