A touch of subtlety and understated elegance could be sensed at the Vivienne Westwood Red Label spring 2012 presentation. Carrying some of the style cues the designer has gotten us used to and demonstrating perfect design discipline, the brand created an interesting perspective as far as the hottest new season looks will be.
Classy combos, clearly planned proportions, subtle prints and
accessories dominated on the
Vivienne Westwood
Red Label Spring 2012 collection presented during London Fashion Week. The
looks presented carried a rather subdued tone, being classy with a
modern touch. The drama that the label has gotten us used to over
the years is still being sensed and spotted in the eye makeup
choices as well as in the hair styling alternatives presented.
Though not really suitable to wear in real life circumstances, they
add a fun, eclectic touch to the looks presented.
Metallic vibes, fairly abstract prints, pleats and asymmetry are
some of the most noteworthy fashion trends spotted in the high
end label's collection for spring 2012. Contrast through texture is
left aside in favor of subtle prints or stripes. In terms of
accessories colorful clutches, necklaces and hair accessories are
the main choices offered.
Evening choices are also presented, albeit this segment is not very
well represented. Interest is created mainly through volume and
layering. Strapless dresses and one shoulder dresses are some of
the alternatives preferred and monochrome options seem to be the
simplest and most stress free choices promoted by the brand for the
upcoming seasons.
