The Vionnet fall 2013 collection helped round out some of the most interesting elements of this Paris Fashion Week edition. The label went for fab proportions, opulent touches and intriguing combos shunning the usual excess made in the name of edginess in order to achieve an elegant look which can be easily adapted off the runway.

Feminine and masculine vibes were beautifully reflected without overpowering the new line. With interesting textures and exciting proportions, the new line offered plenty of food for thought.

With all the focus on balance and classiness, edgy flares found their way into the new Vionnet fall 2013 collection. The line brought a myriad of covetable leather pieces with a subtle futuristic vibe, fur jackets or fur trims for an opulent allure as well as metallic gold accents which proved a total game changer. The designer changed things up a bit by combining black and navy rather than going exclusively for the new uber popular and possibly overused black and gold ensembles.

Another interesting characteristic which set apart the Vionnet fall 2013 collection from the grand variety of alternatives presented at this Paris Fashion Week was the fit. If most designers went for either striking proportional contrasts or uber relaxed fits, the label favored well structured garments which put a high emphasis on the waist. The label a significant number of spectacular modern dresses that were beautifully emphasized with thick belts which add more edginess to the looks.

Despite the subtle futuristic flair of the Vionnet fall 2013 collection, from a chromatic standpoint, things are kept on the fairly conservative. Versatile black, white, rich blue tones, a hint of yellow or some soothing green touches were some of the main options brought into the spotlight for the new season. An eclectic blend of options for sure, yet one that has the potential to be easily adopted by fashionistas with a soft spot for modern ensembles with plenty of elegant vibes.
