The Vera Wang fall 2014 bridal collection was definitely one of the most atypical bridal lines presented so far. It might be a little early to think about next year's fall fashion already, but we all know that there's no rest for the fashionable, especially when it comes to finding the dream wedding dress. Designer Vera Wang has proved on several occasions that she's not afraid of thinking outside the box but this time, her decision seems bolder than ever. Sure, we've seen several black and white creations in the luxury retailer's spring 2014 bridal line, but this time none of her creations abode traditional chromatic standards.

The Vera Wang fall 2014 wedding dresses were inspired by the classic films “Funny Face” and “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.” The designer challenges brides to think pink and dare to wear it down the aisle. “Pink as sensual, pink as seductive, pink as dreamy, pink as sophisticated, pink as strong, pink as cool,” the luxury house explained. The creations sent down the runway definitely evoked these concepts. Each of the dresses brought an intriguing mix of sophistication and glamor but carried a feminine, almost innocent allure.

The designer worked with complex floral appliques, floral beaded embroidery, Chantilly lace, subtle pleated details and delicate organza layers in order to highlight the ethereal vibe all of these stunning wedding gowns are defined by. The new Vera Wang wedding dresses for fall 2014 revealed a fairly clear preference for princess style strapless gowns even though sultry mermaid style gowns were an equally stunning alternative.

Though pink wedding dresses might be considered an unusual choice, there were plenty of celebs who feel in love with the idea of a pink wedding dress. The best example is Jessica Biel, who rocked a stunning pink and white Giambattista Valli wedding dress. If this doesn't seem like a compelling argument, consider the designer's words regarding the new gowns: “Look how flattering it is on all skin types,” she told WWD.
