Timo Weiland latest collection was unveiled on the first day of New York Fashion Week! Check out the latest Timo Weiland fall 2013 collection!
New season, new trends, new muses! Time to take a peek at some
stylish looks from the hottest shows that took place in the first
day at New York Fashion Week! The Timo Weiland fall 2013
collection wowed the audience featuring cool goodies with a
modern, a little bit mannish flare, just the type of clothes the
urban girl would definitely rock.
“We talk about the New York girl a lot around our office,” Alan
Eckstein said after the show. “It’s kind of like it’s built on our
experiences and it’s built on what we think of the New York
girl.”
So, the Timo Weiland fall 2013 collection’s aesthetic was
slightly tougher than usual with a masculine-inspired feel. Cosy,
comfortable and chic, the line featured bomber jackets, shearling
peacoats, fur vests, suits, loose sweaters, but also some beautiful
dresses and skirts that added the feminine touch to the line.
Timo Weiland definitely understands the idea of functional
dressing. Well, once again, the Timo Weiland fall 2013
collection from New York Fashion Week manages to
deliver loads of wearable, go-to pieces, perfect additions to the
cold-weather wardrobe. Let’s take for example the already famous
aviator jacket. This is certainly a very functional piece that one
can throw over anything and everything as it keeps you both warm
and voguish. The same thing can easily be said about the shearling
coat.
Speaking about their fall 2013 collection, Weiland told Elle that,
“The silhouette is lengthier, more versatile, there are higher
necks, and we are channeling that scholastic book nerd. Our girl
has a little bit of a tomboy sensibility but loves being feminine
and pretty. It looks like you went into your boyfriend's closet,
stole all of his things, and then had them tailored to a woman's
shape.”
