26-year-old Russian top model, who says that she would have been a
painter or an art historian if she hadn't become a model, sits down
for a chat with the brand and talks about her childhood and student
years, the beginning of her modelling career, but also about love,
art and the most beautiful day in her life.
The Reserved collection for the upcoming season includes lots of

Speaking about the beginnings of her career as a model, Sasha says
in the interview that, "I met a boy, now my husband, who worked in
the fashion industry, he is a painter.
He took a few photos of me and showed them to people at MJ and
that's how it started... People at the agency liked me, so I went
there and started working. I had my first season in 2005, I came to
do Fashion Week starting with a Prada collection, this was the beginning of my
work."
On her childhood, Sasha confesses that, "I have many beautiful
childhood memories. I was born and raised in Moscow. I love the
city. I have so many memories of the city itself and of visits to
my grandmother who lived nearby. I remember the long walks in the
woods, beautiful, natural landscapes. I can remember many of my
childhood friends, the first years of school, so many memories...
Although I live in New York now, I often go back to Russia to see
my friends and family, to walk around my favorite places."
The famous top model studied art history at the Russian University
for the Humanities. "I studied for three years before I started
working and had to give up my studies. I had a great time, friends,
no troubles or concerns... I liked studying, attending lectures. I
got to learn many interesting new things. I would surely have
continued my education if I hadn't started working as a model and
hadn't left the country, which was the reason for why I gave up
school," she says.
But how does the day of a top model look like? "First of all, I
sleep as long as I wish. When I do get up, I feed my cat. Make
breakfast or eat out. I exercise, then come back home, read a book,
meet my friends, or go sightseeing in the city in which I am
staying. I may also just simply go in the park, where I lie on the
grass all day long, read a book or draw. I can also spend the whole
day in my studio if I am working at an art project. I am always
busy. I always find something to do, even in my free time," Sasha
tells Reserved.
Sasha Pivovarova looks stunning in the Reserved Fall/Winter
2011-2012 Campaign. How does she manage to stay in shape? The model
reveals a few tips, saying that, "The most important thing is
sleep, eight hours a day is what I need to look good, just like
everyone else. A healthy diet based on organic food is also
important. Doing sports, taking care of your skin, your body, all
of these are very important."
Speaking about the fashion world, Sasha admits that, "It's
everywhere.. it's huge... I really like it, with all its happy
people who make my job so much easier." She also adds that being a
model allows her to "meet many interesting, creative people, whom I
wouldn't have met otherwise. All of them are attached to this one
world, the fashion world."
Still, it seems that living in this world might also have a few
disadvantages. "The most difficult thing is that you can't see your
family when you wish to, you can't just get in your car and drive
to see your mother when you feel like it. For example, I have to go
to work tomorrow and I wish I could fly to see my mom," Sasha
says.
However, the beautiful model states she has plenty of friends in
the fashion world with whom she hopes to remain close even after
her journey in fashion-land comes to an end. Sasha confesses that
fashion allows her to express her creativity and this is one big
advantage. "What I like most is that I can express myself. I am a
very creative person and this is very important for me."
