Modern, chic and architectural are the words that sum up the result of the new Salvatore Ferragamo collection. Be sure to check out highlights of the lineup!
Chic and precise describe best Salvatore Ferragamo's fall
2013 collection revealed at Milan Fashion Week over the weekend
as the brand's Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti, chose to
play with simplistic details that fuse to reveal a totally modern
and wearable collection, perfect for the contemporary Ferragamo
girl.
While most fashion designers featuring their latest creations at
Milan Fashion Week but not only, chose to take their cue from past
trends, from vintage classic patterns, Salvatore Ferragamo decided
to focus his attention predominantly on the present and the future
and create a collection that translates into real ensembles
suitable for the modern woman. However, a few of his designs did
seem to display a certain 60s chicness viewed through the eyes of a
modernist, meaning the lines were subtle and didn't seem like the
garments were torn straight out of a vintage magazine!
The collection placed a heavy accent on outerwear, particularly on
coats as the coat has become the ultimate garment in a woman's
wardrobe and thankfully the lines of the coats featured in
Salvatore Ferragamo's fall 2013 collection are precise and reveal
shapes that flatter most body types. While A-lines were almost
nonexistent in the lineup, straight cuts dominated as far as coat
designs went, however the designer did think of the honeys that are
not flattered by these precise lines and introduced cordons in some
of his designs to enable women to accentuate their waistline.
Next in line when it comes to must have fashion pieces are the
skirt and the almighty dress and thankfully there were numerous
designs put on display in Salvatore Ferragamo's fall 2013 Milan
Fashion Week collection, designs that enable fashionistas to amp-up
sexiness through the most flattering cuts. Draping details and soft
asymmetric cuts were the elements that added a bit of 'je ne sais
quoi' to the otherwise simplistic looking designs, so if you're all
about wearable-chicness make sure you expose those gazelle-like
legs with a Feragamo inspired dresses or skirts.
Now, for the comfort oriented divas or the business-chic ladies,
Mr. Giornetti created a stylish pair of high waist-narrow ankle
trousers featured in the most exquisite fabric, trousers that
presented a subtle slit on the side of the ankles, cut which aimed
to provide more comfort for the wearer all while adding a twist to
the design.
Chic, architectural-modern and quite somber as far as the color
palette went (only gray, white, navy and black shades were used),
Salvatore Ferragamo's fall 2013 collection is definitely
worth your attention if you're seeking to polish your style to
perfection in time for the new season, so browse through the
highlights of the lineup and see if this is the path to style you
feel defines you!
