Filled with lovely and extremely elegant goodies, the Roksanda Ilincic collection was just like a breath of fresh air at London Fashion Week. Have a nosey!
Famous for her particular aesthetic that implies a special touch
of elegance, Roksanda Ilincic showcased her fall 2013 collection at
London Fashion Week. The famous designer, who is a graduate
of Central Saint Martins, unveiled an array of wearable and
whimsical goodies, mixing textures and colors in a unique,
fairytale-like way.
“I liked the idea of bringing a breath of fresh air, a bit of
spring, to the collection which usually you only see in a spring
collection,” said Ilincic backstage on her main source of
inspiration. “Haunted girls, virginal brides - which led me to
experiment with the pink,” she explained.
Roksanda Ilincic's creations were always considered as being
effortlessly elegant and extremely modern. The Serbian-born,
London-based designer described the ideal client who would wear her
creations as “anyone who naturally gravitates to my work will look
magnificent in it!”
For her fall 2013 collection, Roksanda Ilincic brought feminine
silhouettes and some ethereal shades oozing delicacy and maximum
femininity. Still, besides those soft and pretty hues, the renowned
designer also displayed pops of green and glossy blacks. Well,
elegance seems to be the the key word when it comes to Ilincic's
creations.
“It’s a very interesting question, because I think that people
perceive elegance very differently in our time. To me, elegance is
very important. It’s something that I have in mind when I start
designing, and it’s something that I have in mind when I finish
designing. So obviously, it’s almost like a guideline, and
something that sets my personal taste, because I’m personally drawn
to it,” the designer confessed in an interview with Another
Mag.
Adventurous and otherworldly, the new Roksanda Ilincic fall 2013
collection has a few couture elements that are, in fact, a
constant part of her designs. “It has always had a great influence
on my work, and it has always been there. I am always coming back
to it, as if I could not have enough of it,” she said. “That dream
keeps fashion alive, it makes it more attractive, and brings
emotions that we can’t get enough of,” the designer told Another
Mag.
