Unlikely combinations, a change in viewing the past in a more modern perspective and edginess are a few concepts that the Rag & Bone brand has emphasized in the Spring/Summer 2012 collection presented yesterday at the New York Fashion Week. See some of the best style highlights of the collection next!
The seventies surfer style influence was more than obvious on
the Rag & Bone runways yesterday. For the Spring/Summer 2012
season, the brand has stayed in its comfort zone, continuing some
of the style perspectives that helped the previous creations stand
out. Surfers, rave and music festivals provided the perfect
inspiration for next season's style influences envisioned by the
high-end label.
Layering, color blocking, unexpected proportions and surprising
style mixes are some of the most notable techniques used by the
brand to create the eclectic outfits that captured a lot of
attention last night. Hooded ponchos, textured neutrals, knits and
plastic details made all the difference when it came to
differentiating the collection from many others of the same sort.
The melange between sporty outfits and more elegant attire was well
represented.
With a blend between neutral tones, soft hues and bright, vivid
tones that instantly create a strong focal point, the multitude of
options available is easy to notice. Factoring in the accessories that completed the
outfits and that consisted of retro sunglasses, roomy, practical
bags and colorful peep toe shoes, it can be easy to see
that each outfit was similar to a mini collection in and of
itself.
