The warm season's fashion stage welcomes another popular stylist and rising designer. The Rachel Zoe Spring 2012 collection features the artsy philosophy of this beloved celebrity style guru. Inspired by Brigitte Bardot, the repertoire lines up a multitude of romantic and ultra-feminine outfits worth keeping an eye on.
Rachel Zoe is one of the most successful stylists in Hollywood.
Her collaborations with our fave movie stars and musicians are
immortalized on the red carpet. The popular stylist decided to take
her design philosophy to the next level and envision a complete
fashion fantasy.
The Rachel Zoe Spring 2012 collection presented at New York Fashion Week is
inspired by the iconic style presence of Brigitte Bardot. The
designer limited herself to the period when the beloved actress
dated Serge Gainsbourg. Rachel Zoe reveals that, “It’s pretty much
like if you pictured Brigitte Bardot in the South of France [in
the] late ‘60s, early ‘70s, running around being glamorous...That’s
what was in my head.”
Palazzo pants, fabulous jumpsuits along with ruffled dresses and maxi skirts where some of
the quintessential staples the whole collection was built around.
The fashion pack will be able to spot all the signature clothing
items Rachel Zoe also sports for the most impressive formal events.
Chic blazers and breezy dresses inject a nonchalant elegance into
the collection. Some critics claimed that these outfits are
copycats of some of the most memorable looks of Rachel Zoe.
However, she claims that, “For sure, I never want to design
anything I wouldn’t wear myself. I gotta love it...But I don’t
think any of these girls look anything like me. I want these girls
to be cool and effortless and glamorous. I kind of wish I was that
cool and effortless and glamorous!”
The designs were all crowned and complemented with shoes and bags envisioned by the same
creator. Poetry in motion is what this professional
stylist-turned-designer offered us during the New York Fashion
Week.
