NYFW Spring 2014: Naeem Khan Collection
Indian-born American designer Naeem Khan, focused once again on ultra feminine gowns for his newest line, this time bringing Spanish and Mexican influences into the spotlight. He brought interesting variations on his elaborate signature beaded gowns, worked with folklore-inspired motifs and brought many red-carpet worthy alternatives into the spotlight. The show closed in style with a gorgeous Frida Kahlo-inspired wedding gown from his first bridal collection, set to be launched this October.

NYFW Spring 2014: Jenny Packham Collection
"'70s take on austere Edwardian attire" was designer Jenny Packham's focus for the new line. The designer brought a multitude of gorgeous cocktail dresses and sophisticated evening gowns in a myriad of cool tones: dusty pink, royal blue, green, lime or mustard yellow. As gorgeous as her cocktail dresses were, the true stunners of the new line were the crystal-covered floor sweeping gowns which can easily make any fashionista fall in love.

NYFW Spring 2014: Reem Acra Collection
The Reem Acra spring 2014 collection brought an interesting spin on the concept of disco glamour. Though eveningwear is not typically described as 'fun', this is exactly the word that best summarizes the new line which revolved around red, orange, black, silver and gold tones. The designer turned out to be a big supporter of metallic tones for the warm months of 2014, offering several memorable gowns which are guaranteed to steal the spotlight every single time.

NYFW Spring 2014: Oscar de la Renta Collection
Stunning, breath-taking, incredible, extraordinarily beautiful...any of these adjectives can easily describe Oscar de la Renta's spring creations inspired by the portraits of the Fitton sisters. At first, the line brought a myriad of chic prints and patterns: checkers, floral patterns, polka dots etc, but quickly changed the focus and brought an impressive array of ultra feminine, show-stopping evening gowns into the spotlight.

NYFW Spring 2014: Badgley Mischka Collection
Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka took inspiration from the French Riviera for their spring 2014 line and brought a multitude of interesting twenties and thirties inspired silhouettes into the spotlight. At first, the theme was reflected through a series of feminine outfits in navy and white, but as the show progressed, the focus was placed on glamorous eveningwear as this is where the designers' talent is truly reflected. After 25 years in business, blending sophistication and sexiness into outstanding evening gowns comes naturally for the two.
