The Marchesa fall 2014 collection was an abstract representation of the Scottish Highlands. Though designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig cited elements like “foggy fields” and “grays from the skies”, the color palette and the motifs used had a much lighter and cheerful note. The glam Naeem Khan fall 2014 collection took inspiration from the world of cabaret. A decadent budoir theme could be easily identified as the designer sent a variety of bold and eclectic options down the runway. The line, described by the designer as “highly textured”, brought stunning animal print dresses, elegant gowns with sophisticated bead details so tiny that they had to be applied using surgical needles, fringe details, intricate baroque motifs or stacked sequins, offering very diverse solutions for his A-list customers with different style personalities.
