Iconic fashion label Missoni will still show this year despite the tragedy that surrounds the Missoni family with the disappearance of Vittorio Missoni. Check out the brand's past creations and find out more about the upcoming designs!
Missoni at Milan Fashion Week 2013 is still happening
regardless of the drama the company is facing with the
disappearance of Missoni's fashion executive, Vittorio Missoni. The
pressure and the level of stress must have reached an all-time high
at Missoni, however fashion critics expect nothing less from the
luxury fashion house than a display of fresh, colorful and
innovative designs to dominate the runway in Milan.
The approach to style the Italian high-end fashion and accessories
label will take at the Milan Fashion Week 2013 is kept well under
wraps, but we believe despite the tragedy affecting the Missoni
family, the upcoming collection will display a similar, fun-packed,
non-conformist style as the Missoni spring 2013
collection which seemed to have drawn its inspiration from
Spanish culture, in particular the sexy, fun and festive attire
worn by flamenco girls and the result: fabulous ruffles, bright
pigments and eclectic prints created on luxurious fabrics!
The detail that has become a signature of the brand, the striped
and zigzag knit, will hopefully find its place in the upcoming
collection as the sizzling pattern that was also featured in the
Missoni resort 2013 collection
shows that this is a detail that can make a heavy impact on an
otherwise simplistic design, pushing it towards uniqueness!
Missoni at Milan Fashion Week fall 2013 will reveal the
latest trends in ready-to-wear fashion on Sunday, February 24th at
Università La Statale via Festa del Perdono, 7, Milan at 4PM, so be
sure to check back and view the brand's latest collection.
