An interesting blend of opulence and minimalism made the new Marni collection stand out at this Milan Fashion Week edition. Check out the hottest new looks.
The Marni fall 2013 collection was filled with contrasts.
Not necessarily from a chromatic or textural point of view, but
instead by the vision behind the newest looks which designer
Consuelo Castiglioni described as being "austere but romantic,"
adding that she wanted to 'evoke a melancholy atmosphere'. While
the minimalism that characterized the new season alternatives sure
brought the impression of severity that the label based its new
looks on, the options quickly showed plenty of luxurious vibes that
made the new looks feel modern and spectacular.
Clean lines, well defined proportions and a multitude of luxurious
fur and leather details which instantly brought an edgy allure to
the new season looks. Though monochrome outfits dominated the
scene, the Marni fall 2013 collection also featured a
variety of fun prints which were clearly in line with the current
trends. The abstract allure was put into the spotlight with a
multitude of spectacular which impressed through their complexity
and managed to become the main focal point of the new
looks.
This season, the emphasis on the shoulder is more than noticeable
and will prove a worthwhile option for fashionistas with an eye for
thought-provoking looks. The Marni fall 2013 collection
brought a combination of dark, versatile tones, making grey and
black tones a fabulous allure which showed a preference for
ultilitarian touches with a glam twist. The focus on classiness
could also be sensed when taking a closer look at the new season
options from a proportional perspective. The looks were fairly
modest with knee-length dresses and coats dominating the new line
and making textural touches steal the spotlight.
If at first the Marni fall 2013 collection brought plenty of fab
minimalistic touches and outfits with a distinguishable modern
allure, by the end the focus shifted towards high impact prints and
luxurious alternatives which allowed the brand to finish off with
full force with several covetable ensembles serving as inspiration
for the new season looks.
The revival of the fur trend is not exclusive to Marni. The latest
Max Mara fall 2013
collection also features fur coats, along with the Etro fall 2013 collection,
while the Just Cavalli fall 2013
collection places a heavy accent on fur trim details.
