Less boldness and a higher dose of wearability is Maison Martin Margiela's new vision of style for the upcoming fall/winter 2013-2014. Check out the new looks, next!
The new Maison Martin Margiela fall 2013 collection
presented at Paris Fashion Week got fashion enthusiasts to divide
on two fronts meaning some loved the new spirit of the collection
while others didn't appreciate the fact that the brand offerings
lacked that edgy, innovative allure that made the label
recognizable. However, we have to say that the lineup created for
the upcoming season is infused with a higher level of wearability
level and that only means you dolls will be able to underline your
uniqueness without falling too deep in the eccentric zone.
Maison Martin Margiela's style reinvention began last year and it
seems that softer yet still original is the new path to chicness
the brand's designer focused on and judging by the fall 2013 lineup
the label's goal was definitely reached! Masculine elements mainly
inspired by uniforms were first introduced to the audience at
Paris Fashion Week 2013.
The cool bold lines of the designs still managed to deliver a high
visual impact all while still keeping the garments looking
wearable. Although the separates were cut after oversized patterns
some feat unbuttoned cuffs, they were infused with a
fun-modern-vibe through hand-painted yellow or pink stripes which
made all the difference for the look.
Coats and jackets also played a huge role in the collection and the
majority of designers showing their fall 2013 lineups placed the
coat on a pedestal. From classic cuts to sleeveless blazer-inspired
coats, biker jackets and masculine inspired blazers, the lineup
featured every design that hot this year. Take your cue from the
cult brand and learn how to make the best out of this must have
garment by layering your fave item over a chic dress, a chic
skirt-blouse ensemble or a pair of wide leg trousers.

The renowned fashion house closed the Maison Martin Margiela
fall 2013 show with an array of floor-length dresses that
featured draping effects that didn't really put the models'
silhouettes into value as straight lines and geometric patterns
resembling patchwork details don't really have glamor written all
over! However, the daywear designs were enough to get us anxious as
we wait for the new season staples to hit the shelves, so check out
