Stylish pieces and jaw-dropping combinations of textures in Kenneth Cole's latest womenswear collection. Check out the new designs!
The Kenneth Cole fall 2013 collection was unveiled during
New York Fashion Week. The designer’s show marked his return to the
runway after a seven-year hiatus. Cole and creative director Kobi
Halperin showcased a line filled with some modern, urban looks.
Called ‘Urban Liberation’, the collection has a particular downtown
flare.
The famous designer seems to be totally aware of the importance
social media plays nowadays. "We don't care if people love it. We
just want them to 'like' it," Cole said in an opening video. So,
his models Instagrammed pictures of the audience during the finale.
"We wanted to use the myriad of platforms available to communicate
both a social message and a fashion message in unison," the
designer explained backstage during the Kenneth Cole fall 2013
colleciton show.
For the Kenneth Cole fall 2013 collection, Cole and Halperin
brought a range of stylish pieces and jaw-dropping combinations of
textures. There were perforated leather goodies, cozy knits, but
also some metallic details to spice up the ensembles. The color
palette included mostly autumnal hues such as burgundy, black, gray
and green.
The line featured some casual chic pieces that would make the envy
of every fashionista. Wool coats, topcoats with contrasting
sleeves, hooded parkas, cropped puffers were statement-making
outerwear pieces. Ah, but those knitted skirts were an absolute
sartorial delight! But what best characterizes Cole’s designs is
their incredible wearability. And this was a major plus of his fall
2013 collection from New York Fashion Week.
