Italian owned motorcycle brand Matchless enters in the apparel business. Model Kate Moss fronts the brand's first fashion campaign. Check it out!
Kate Moss will steal the spotlight once again with a new
campaign. Motorcycle brand Matchless is releasing a clothing
line this year and enlisted Kate Moss to promote its latest
creations. One of the oldest British companies, Matchless London,
was bought by former Belstaff owners, the Malenotti family. The
label will be releasing luxury motorcycle-inspired apparel
pieces.
The label feels the supermodel's personality is perfect for marking
the beginning of a new era for Matchless. Michele Malenotti, who is
the Matchless marketing and business expansion director stated
that: "We are delighted to be working with Kate Moss on this first Matchless
advertising campaign for this new era of the brand. We feel her
spirit and personality fit the brand perfectly and this is clearly
conveyed in the campaign." To ensure the new campaign will be a
resounding success, the label turned to Terry Richardson, who
transformed a multitude of campaigns into memorable releases over
the years.
The Kate Moss for Matchless campaign was shot at MC Motors
in Hackney. The photos show the supermodel on the iconic Marlon
Brando Thunderbird 650cc motorbike from the 1953 classic "The Wild
One." Male model Andre Van Noord will also appear in the new
Matchless campaign which will be revealed this June, highlighting
the pieces for the fall/winter 2013.
The new Matchless collection will bring luxury outwear
apparel for both men and women. The idea behind these new
alternatives is to appeal to both those passionate about the field
and to those who are simply looking for a fabulous statement. The
line features leather and washed cotton jackets. The leather pieces
will have prices ranging from £900 to £1,300 while the washed
cotton pieces will be sold for prices ranging from £600 to £900. We
can't wait to see the entire Kate Moss for Matchless
campaign.
