Julianne Moore is the new face for the Talbots spring/summer 2011 campaign. The beautiful 49-year-old actress looks amazing in the ad campaign shot by famous Mert & Marcus and which will appear in the Talbots catalog and in various magazines starting this month.
Last year, Julianne Moore was revealed as the new image and face
for the spring/summer 2011 Talbots collection. Now, the ad campaign
has been released and it shows a beautiful and gorgeous Julianne
Moore, yet effortless and natural, strong and confident.
The Talbots spring/summer 2011 ad campaign has been shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York and it will be featured in Talbots' catalog, but also in glossy and fashion magazines and different stores. Mert & Marcus also made the Talbots fall campaign in 2010 featuring model Linda Evangelista.
The new ad campaign perfectly reflects the relationship and the bond that exists between Moore and Talbots:
"We have this lush, traditional setting, and Julianne is in the middle of it. She’s strong, confident, and very modern. And it’s very ethereal and sensual," says Michael Smaldone, chief creative officer at Talbots.
Moreover, speaking about the reason for choosing Julianne Moore as the new image for the 60-year-old brand, Smaldone said that she was the perfect face because she "exemplifies everything we want as the face of the brand. She’s a very active, beautiful, soulful woman."
When making the official statement regarding the brand's new image, Michael Smaldone said that "Julianne Moore represents a timeless, ageless natural American beauty that this brand has always strived to symbolize. The fortyish woman embodies a confidence and strength that comes with experience. Being 'fortyish' also represents a time in her life, that she buys what she respects, wears only what she loves and covets the things that become signatures of her personal style. She is a modern, beautiful woman who embodies confidence and strength. Our brand vision and platform is ‘Tradition Transformed,’ and Ms. Moore is just that to us."
In 2010, the 49-year-old actress also had a rather eccentric and "special" appearance in the Bvlgari fall/winter 2010 ad campaign. Moore posed naked "wearing" nothing but a few lion cubs, jewelries and handbags. The photos for the ad campaign were taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot at legendary interior designer Tony Duquettes’s estate in Beverly Hills.
