The John Richmond Spring 2012 collection shown at Milan Fashion Week proposed lots of flirty dresses, printed blouses, elegant gowns, but also masculine-inspired and tough rock looks. The line has a daring vibe, perfect for braver fashionistas.
"John Richmond is a celebration of the energy, creativity and
unpredictability of youth and street culture. Each line is heavily
influenced by musical movements, blended with 'street chic', John's
own irreverent style and luxurious precision." These are the main
elements of the JR philosophy and they perfectly describe the
designer's spring 2012 collection, an impeccable combination of
femininity and toughness, sensuality and boldness.
For daytime activities, the Richmond woman wears chic skirts and
pants paired with boyfriend blazers and studded leather jackets.
The JR working girl elegantly pulls off uber-stylish outfits such
as a smart masculine-inspired suit, while for a night out she dares
to flaunt her silhouette in sexy super-short and cutout dresses.
Other things drawing our attention were the sheer maxi dresses and
those eye-catching black gowns that were short at the front and
floor-length at the back.
The color palette in the John Richmond spring 2012 collection seen
at Milan Fashion Week includes
the already classic black and white, khaki and beige, but also
pistachio, silver, and vibrant shades of violet, fuchsia and
emerald. Attention-grabbing details such as structured shoulders,
zippers and crystals beautifully embellish the ensembles. Long
necklaces, bracelets, snake-print clutches, shopper bags and
platform sandals with
ankle-straps complemented the looks.
