We highly wait to for the new Jean Paul Gaultier collection to be unveiled at Paris Fashion Week! Well, until then, have a nosey at the designer's coolest previous looks!
Jean Paul Gaultier at Paris Fashion Week tends to unify and
wow. Two characteristics that perfectly describe the renowned
designer's aesthetic and collections. Gaultier is a constant
provider of outstanding ideas and his creations never cease to
surprise the audience. Well, it is totally understandable why
everyone highly wait to see his fall 2013 collection at Paris
Fashion Week.
There is something to be amazed about in Jean Paul Gaultier's
shows that always carry a special message. For example, his fall
2011 collection seemed to say that a woman is never too old to go a
little sexy and the models went down the runway peeling off their
layers and flinging scarves. Considered as being one of his most
wearable offerings, the line featured coats, jackets, sweaters,
tailored pants, elegant blouses, and many more.
For his spring 2012 collection, Gaultier revisited many of his
iconic pieces. Thus, he gave a new twist to the trench, the matelot
sweater, the corset, and tattoos. It was a chic and sexy yet
playful line that included loads of stylish goodies. The designer's
spring 2012 couture
collection paid tribute to late singer Amy Winehouse, whom he
thought was a style icon. The fall 2012 collection also featured
some new takes of Jean Paul Gaultier's legendary items such as the
corset and the trench.
"An homage to all the pop stars of the eighties who have influenced
fashion and my fashion with their look,” said the notes of
Gaultier's spring 2013 collection. There were black tuxedo
pantsuits, Japanese-inspired kimonos, baseball jackets, fishnet
sweatshirts, metallic outfits, dresses, glitter platforms, and
other jaw-dropping goodies.
Okay, so we are now super-excited to discover the latest fall 2013
Jean Paul Gaultier collection that will be showcased at Paris Fashion Week on march 2. Don't
forget to check back for updates!
