For the spring 2013 season, J.Crew's head of women's design Tom Mora, found inspiration in an old collection of Time-Life nature books, vision he transposed into clean silhouettes that exude elegance and style. Featuring a heavy dose of silk fabrics, the entire collection receives a high share of refinement, so check out the gorgeously tailored designs!
The spring 2013 fashion season already made its debut in New
York and it seems that fashion designers chose various sources as
inspiration for their newest collections. Predominantly, the new
high-end garments displayed on the catwalks were all about silky
fabrics, soft and fabulous pigments, clean cuts as well as fabulous
prints as renowned fashion brand J.Crew proves through its spring
2013 collection.
Apparently, nature was the muse for Tom Mora, J.Crew's head of
women's design, as the new collection was contoured in the
designer's mind while in vacation at his parents home, where he
discovered an old collection of Time-Life nature books which
displayed the most amazing pictures of flowers, trees and insects,
all in vivid colors that enchanted the eyes. The free-spirit energy
exuded by nature was captured perfectly by Tom Mora in the spring
2013 fashion collection for J.Crew as each and every design had a
very relaxed feel given by both the clean cuts displayed throughout
the collection as well as the amazing bright color palette
used.
Although the brand's spring 2013 fashion collection doesn't seem
innovatory, the clean silhouettes do deserve all the attention as
the urban-chic style that feels laid back yet look classy seems to
be on high demand this upcoming spring. For the new collection,
J.Crew chose to balance the simplicity of the cuts with the
luxurious feel of silk and the warmth of vibrant pigments. A high
dose of pink tones, yellows and bright forest greens delighted the
audience's peepers as did the wonderful thematic fauna and flora
prints. The designer chose to feature among the all printed
ensembles, simpler, monochromatic designs as well as mixed print
and monochrome garments as variety is a must especially since not
everyone can rock-out a fabulous all-over heavy print outfit.
The brand's stylish classic cut ankle trousers couldn't have missed
from the catwalk and to upgrade their style, they were featured in
silk fabric but not only and paired with stylish blouses and cool
and trendy blazers. Also popular in the line were stylish shirt
dresses, a must have of the spring 2013 season, pretty skirts, the
maxi dress as well as cool and cozy blouses and jeans.
The lovely designs featuring adorable floral motifs exuded
femininity while the pretty polka dot prints gave the collection a
more retro vibe. Chic, elegant and feminine, the new spring 2013
fashion collection signed J.Crew is definitely a perfect match for
the modern, laid-back urban glam girl, so check out the entire
collection and select the garments that complete your style
flawlessly.
