The second day of the Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Week has brought some exciting new style perspectives and the Jason Wu collection for the new season has certainly showed a myriad of style elements that are noteworthy. Select your favorite looks from the brand's latest collection.
The Jason Wu brand presented the Spring/Summer 2012
collection yesterday in front of a lot of fashion enthusiasts and it certainly
didn't disappoint. For the next season, the designer opted for
feminine looks with a balanced touch of elegance and refinement
while maintaining a fairly subtle edgy allure. Simple, classy and
fairly minimalistic, or sophisticated and romantic, the looks are
diverse and place the focus on texture and volume as well as on
color.
Among the style influences that were the most notable in the
brand's collection, peplum skirts, floral petal prints, dots,
asymmetry, bows, knee length skirts and subtle sheer details come
to mind. As for the color palette used, canary yellow, deep blue,
white, black and candy pink tones are the main options endorsed by
the brand.
Sporty vibes gave a more modern touch to the collection which had a
fairly gentle retro allure. From intuitive, elegant day outfits to
evening gowns, the transition was gradual and well controlled. In
terms of beauty trends, bold yet feminine lipstick shades along
with very subtle eye makeup styles completed the
fabulous looks.
