Gianfranco Ferré has been wooing fashion addicts for years with an array of outstanding designs! Until the brand will show the new designs at Milan Fashion Week, take a peek back at some of their coolest looks!
The Gianfranco Ferré Milan Fashion Week fall 2013
collection will be showcased during fashion month this February.
Boy oh boy, we are so excited to finally be able to discover what
some of the world's most renowned designers have prepared for us!
And Gianfranco Ferré has been wooing fashion enthusiasts for years
now, so we're pretty sure that this season will make no
exception.
Okay, so we've searched the archive and have chosen some of the
famous brand's hottest looks that have enchanted fashion addicts
throughout the years. For example, the Gianfranco Ferré spring 2011
collection was filled with sexy goodies such as body-con dresses,
suits, Grecian, one-shoulder chiffon gowns and fitted coats. Still,
what drew the audience's attention was the paper-thin python that
Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi used in such a unique way. The
designer duo said backstage that a book in Ferré's library with a
photo of Louis Armstrong's trumpet got them thinking about jazz,
and that the "instinctual music" made them choose a "hotter, more
sensual" approach.
For the brand's fall 2011, Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi had
as starting point the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. The line
featured double-breasted cashmere coats, silver and navy lamé
dresses, pencils skirts, chiffon tops, skinny pants, while feminine
pumps, ankle boots and covetable bags completed the looks.
The spring 2012 season brought a change at Gianfranco Ferré when
Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi were named creative
directors.
Their first collection for the brand brought tops with metal
inserts, soft pants, pencil skirts, tulle and long peplum dresses.
The duo's source of inspiration for fall 2012 was Helmut Newton’s
work. As for their spring 2013 collection, Citron and Piaggi seemed
to completely understand Ferré's heritage. It was mostly a black
and white line featuring loads of structured silhouettes with a
slightly mannish touch.
If you want to see the latest Gianfranco Ferré line at Milan
Fashion Week fall 2013, you should know that it will be
showcased on February 25. So, remember to check back for
updates!
