The For Love and Lemons spring 2014 collection is titled “Land of Eternal Spring”. The label traveled to Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepequez to have a better understanding of the the culture, the fabrics and the techniques of the region, all of which were incorporated in the new creations for spring 2014. As always, the label is bringing simple yet gorgeous ensembles into the spotlight, with many interesting ideas worth taking a closer look at.
The For Love and Lemons “Land of Eternal Spring” lookbook took traditional manufacturing techniques and gave them a modern spin, creating lovely ensembles with an interesting bohemian twist. As usual, the label focuses on feminine pieces with a youthful flair. Stunning dresses and simple skirts, colorful tunics, chic printed shorts and cool cropped tops are the main staples the label pushes into the spotlight. These warm season essentials are used in simple and intuitive combos that manage to steal the spotlight instantly and create a stunning effect. When it comes to prints, the label favors abstract patterns and motifs as these are specific to the region the label drew inspiration from.
For Love and Lemons' “Land of Eternal Spring” lookbook also brings a myriad of cool accessories into the spotlight. Since the looks don't feature any over the top embellishments, the label ads a hint of edginess to the new looks with statement bracelets and chunky necklaces which often become the main focal point of the looks. Even when it comes to these pieces, the influences of the region can be easily sensed, which is definitely an interesting proof of the degree to which the culture has managed to serve as inspiration for the label.
Aside from effortless chicness, comfort is another aspect the label focuses on in the new For Love and Lemons spring 2014 collection. When it comes to choosing the shoes to complete the outfits, the brand relies almost exclusively on flat sandals which are seen as the perfect choice for sightseeing.
