Diesel Black Gold has already released their resort 2014 collection inspired by workwear and military detailing. The brand's designer, Andreas Melbostad, brings a new line that follows an industrial theme, reworked in a modern way. There are some really cool pieces that according to Melbostad had as main source of inspiration painters, plaster workers, and firemen.

The new Diesel Black Gold resort 2014 collection includes wearable and fashion-forward goodies such as jeans, biker jackets, t-shirts and sweaters, skirts and jackets. Oh, and those printed pants are absolutely fabulous! Besides some eye-catching prints there are also some go-with-everything shades and covetable accessories that complete the outfits. “I think people sees it as an extension of Diesel, there is this sort of idea of irreverence, some kind of a brave, bold attitude that Renzo has built in this company. Obviously, Diesel is associated with denim as well. Denim is the core of it, but for us Diesel Black Gold is very much like a premium extension of Diesel. It’s very important to evolve into it, but I think its equally important to bring the tailoring into it, and bring other aspects that sit well with the core of denim. We want to express the same attitude but evolving further this identity which is reflected in the wardrobes of our consumers,” Andreas Melbostad explained in an interview with JSBG.

Speaking to Glamour UK, the brand's new creative director said that, “The Diesel Black Gold woman has a strong sense of self - she is strong and confident.” And it seems that he's resort 2014 collection for Diesel Black Gold manages to embody the features of a confident woman.

On the new direction and the mix between the brand's already existing sartorial approach and his own vision, Andreas Melbostad told JSBG that:

“For me it’s really important to keep that sort of iconic DNA of Diesel and it’s irreverence. That part of it is also something that comes quite naturally to me and my own sensibility. Then I want to take that sort of iconic inspiration and elevate it through the cut, the tailoring, the fabrication and the study of the product. It comes back to what I touched on earlier. I think people shop across the markets, they are very educated about fashion and clothes today. It’s important that we try to bring our best expertise and craft into the product. For me it’s the number one goal, to refine the vision of the brand and develop a clear voice to express to the World who Diesel Black Gold is and what the brand represents.”
