Claudia Schiffer looks sexier than ever as she poses for the new Guess 30th Anniversary Ad Campaign photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth. The famous brand celebrates three decades of sexiness and style releasing a 15-piece capsule collection inspired by iconic Guess girls.
Claudia Schiffer fronts the latest Guess 30th anniversary ad campaign
photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth in Sorrento in Italy. The
41-year-old supermodel goes back to her roots after posing for the
famous brand in six Guess campaigns from 1989 to 1991. The renowned
label revisits one of its iconic campaigns and celebrates its "30
sexy years!" with a stunning selection of black-and-white
photographs as the ones taken by von Unwerth back in 1989. And we
must admit that Schiffer is looking as amazing as ever 23 years
later.
"Guess will always have a soft spot in my heart, and I'm excited
that 23 years later we can still work together so successfully,"
Schiffer told Women's Wear Daily. "Shooting the Guess 30th
anniversary campaign was like going back in time. It brought back
so many great memories and has been a lot of fun working together
again with Ellen and Paul."
Paul Marciano, chief executive officer and creative director of
Guess, is also extremely thrilled about the brand's collaboration
with Schiffer. "She was a turning point of Guess, she was a turning
point of Ellen’s career, Guess was a turning point of a life for
Claudia," Marciano told WWD. The campaign image "made her career in
my view, and that made Guess a different company. Everybody talked
about the Guess Girl," he said.
The new Guess 30th Anniversary Collection is inspired by the
brand's pieces worn by famous Guess girls over the past three
decades. The 15-piece collection will feature pieces inspired by
Claudia, but also by Laetitia Casta, Naomi Campbell, Bridget Hall,
Drew Barrymore and Estelle Lefébure. There are wide-neck T-shirts
printed with bedazzled images of Line Gost and Anna Nicole Smith, a
sheer leopard-print blouse, jeans with a cut-off waistband
originally modelled by Adriana Lima, a sleeveless black-and-white
gingham top worn by Eva Herzigova, and the three-zipper Marilyn
jeans that launched the brand.
You can also take a peek at the advertising campaign video
featuring gorgeous Claudia Schiffer, developed under the creative
direction of Paul Marciano, CEO and Creative Director of GUESS
Inc., and directed and shot by photographer and longtime GUESS
collaborator, Ellen von Unwerth. Paul and Ellen also teamed up in
1989 for Claudia's first GUESS campaign and "the three have
reunited now for the print and video campaign to celebrate this
special milestone for the brand."
This special capsule collection is set to be launched worldwide on
April 24th in Guess stores and on a new website, www.guess1981.com,
which was created especially for the anniversary. The goodies,
drawing their inspiration from the pieces featured in archived
GUESS images yet updated with a modern twist, will be priced from
$39 to $138.
