Chloe Sevigny juxtaposed vintage with retro details for her fall 2013 Opening Ceremony collection and the result is definitely worth checking out, so browse through the designs after the jump!
The Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony fall 2013
collection is all about 'sixties meet the nineties'. The result
of the ongoing collaboration has been revealed for the world to see
during New York Fashion Week and we just love everything that has
to do with the label.
It seems that fashion as she was growing up had a great impact on
actress Chloë Sevigny as she has admitted to turning towards the
nineties for inspiration each time she creates. "Every collection
is a nod back to my teen years. It's very narcissistic", said Chloë
in an interview with style.com and this means only one thing: her
designs are meant to spark new trends not follow them and this is
just exactly what fashionistas love right now!
The Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony fall 2013 collection
brings elements of the sixties and of the nineties, mashing them to
create a collection that suits the contemporary honeys that don't
fear fashion. Her black multicolored crystal embellished pullover
takes us back to Anna Wintour's first Vogue cover which opened the
era of the supermodels and which revealed the first ever casual
cover featuring a model donning a similar pullover and a pair of
stylish denims. On the opposite side, the sixties elements are made
highly visible through the numerous A-line dresses, vintage looking
peacoats, under the knee cut pencil skirts striped T-shirts and
timeless chic head scarves.
A slight nautical vibe is exuded by some of the designs included in
Chloë Sevigny's Open Ceremony fall 2013 collection, so if you're
looking to upgrade your style this fall all while taking a
vintage/retro approach to style, this is definitely a collection
that can help you achieve your goal!
