British heritage brand, Burberry Prorsum, enchanted the audience present at the unveiling of the shows during the Fall 2013 LFW, so take a peek at highlights of the amazing collection, next!
The Burberry Prorsum fall 2013 collection enchanted the
audience present at the fashion house's show held in Hyde Park
during London Fashion Week as the lineup displayed an incredible
high dose of vintage 60s elements juxtaposed with sexy, youthful
vibe details, a combo that is indeed worthy of the highest
praise.
For the theme of the collection, Christopher Bailey, Burberry
Prorsum's creative director chose 'Trench Kisses: A Collection of
Classics and Christine Keeler', a title that sums-up perfectly the
style of the impressive lineup. The woman the designer is referring
to is the infamous former English model and showgirl Christine
Margaret Keeler, known for her affair during the 60s with a British
Secretary of State, in what ultimately became known as the Profumo
Affair. Intrigued? Well, we certainly were!
The British heritage brand is known for its exquisite trench
designs so it was obviously expected to make this particular
element stand out from the collection and the result surpassed
everyone's expectations as from classic and monochrome to bold and
heavily printed and slightly futuristic brought mainly through the
use of wet-like leather and translucent, an array of fabulous
trench coats were brought to the podium.
Apart from the oh-so-lovely array of trenches created by
Burberry Prorsum for fall 2013, the luxury brand also
brought to the catwalk stylish demure midi dresses and an array of
proper, silhouette enhancing pencil skirts paired with blouses,
sweaters and trenches. The luxurious fabrics mixed and matched to
perfection amped up the sophistication level of the collection and
helped each designs look distinct and totally hot!
As far as the color palette went, the designer chose to take a
risque and stray from the classic, neutral zone into the wonderful
world of color and prints, predominantly animal prints and stripes.
Red tones, brown tones and achromatic shades were paired with
sizzling patterns. Zebra, giraffe or leopard prints were the
predominant details displayed on the fabrics and they truly played
their role to perfection making the clothes look so much more fun
and youthful.
Other than the leather fringe details and perforated leather sealed
with metallic circle stud applications which looked a bit grungy
yet totally flirty, the rest of the collection was maintained quite
soft and feminine, so browse through the complete Burberry
Prorsum fall 2013 collection and select the garments that will
surely become style inspirations for you next season!
