Famous fashion blogger Rumi Neely from Fashion Toast shows off
her impressive wardrobe to The Coveteur. "I don't really overthink
anything when shopping so most of my shoes are just what stuck out
to me instinctually (really pretentious way of saying my brain is
simple and moronic," she says.
But where does she get her clothes? "I shop a lot online! I spend
about 80% of my time breaking down cardboard boxes. Shopbop and
NET-A-PORTER's 'What's New' sections are very much bookmarked on my
browser. In L.A. I love Barney's in Beverly Hills, Opening
Ceremony, and Creatures of Comfort, and my latest shop I fell in
love with in New York is Catbird. It's the best for tiny
invisible-type jewellery," Rumi told The Coveteur.
Well, besides her style, we must admit that Rumi's bang-on ombré is
so cool. Speaking about her hair care routine, the blogger said
that, "My hair is pretty self-maintaining, it has this in between
wavy/straight texture and I just go with it. If I want it to look
more beachy or whatever I'll use Bumble & bumble Surf Spray or
Oribe Dry Texture Spray, and for the ends I like L'oreal's new
Elseve oil."
On her choice when it comes to shoes, Rumi admits that, "I'm not
really one or the other when it comes to heels or flats. It's more
about the time and the place for me. I do think that the same
outfit would look alright with all three of these though. My
favourite look that I've put together with the Burberry wedges is a
cream dress and a burgundy velvet blazer, from last fall. So
strange how easy it is to remember these things versus seemingly
more important stuff, right?"
As on her summer footwear picks, she reveals that, "I've been a
little bit on autopilot this summer with my shoes; it's either a
nude sandal or Isabel Marant sneakers. Always a soft spot for my
Céline flatforms, too. I usually pick out my clothes first, unless
I'm frothing at the mouth excited about a new pair I've just
gotten."
What about her bag? What are Rumi's essentials? "I keep on
banishing more and more things from my bag so it's gotten pretty
boring. What survived are the tiny Caudalie beauty elixir, Lucas
Papaw ointment, a highlighter like NARS The Multiple or something
in case I want to look special all of a sudden, an assortment of
rings, iPhone, and keys," she says.
Talking to The Coveteur, the beautiful blogger confesses that she
loves oversized blouses. "Oversized blouses are pretty much all
that matter to me." As on her fashion favourites, she admits that,
"It's hard to name favourites because everything I own is going to
be my favourite at one time or another."
