The much anticipated project is finally happening. Alexa Chung has finally admitted working on her first fashion line. Find out more about the star's thoughts on the new project she embarked on.
Nowadays, most female celebrities get to launch a fashion or beauty project. While many such initiatives are frowned upon, other seem like a very natural addition to the star's current interests. Alexa Chung's much anticipated initiative definitely belongs to the later category. After mesmerizing everyone with her unique sense of style and fronting campaigns for a variety of labels such as Maje or Supega or the collaborations with Madewell, the star is finally ready to express her creativity with her very own fashion line.
The close contact with the fashion industry definitely sets high
expectations for her new line. Though the project has just been
confirmed, the beloved fashionista is definitely feeling the
pressure.
She sees the possibility of failure as unlike many celebs who have
their clothing lines, she'll do everything herself: "I've got
nothing to lose, it's a bit of fun," Chung said. "In this current
era of celebrity no one believes you actually design the stuff
anyway, even though I sketch everything myself. So if it sucks I
can say I had nothing to do with it, and if it's really good I can
say 'Here are the drawings, it's all my own work!'"
Her modesty is definitely touching, especially given her amazing
ability to set trends and her recent achievement. She was chosen by
The British Fashion Council to speak for the country’s designers in
an ambassador role.
There's no word yet regarding the possible launch date of the
newest creations signed by Alexa Chung or the price range for the
new line, but we're definitely anxious to see how the 28 year old
star will translate her flawless taste into covetable creations
with the high potential of flying off the shelves.
