Alberta Ferretti's fall 2013 collection showcased at Milan Fashion Week, proved once again that simplicity can indeed look amazingly chic and spectacular. The famous designer described her line as being sensual, extremely feminine and a little fragile. And boy oh boy, it was a real achingly lovely and elegant line featuring an array of delicate and uber-feminine goodies. Simple elegance is served up on dreamy silhouettes and a monochrome flare.

"It's the recognisable Ferretti shape and still authentic, the importance is the precise style and the quality - the shape is in the detail. It's very sophisticated, fragile and strong in between," said Ferretti after the show. Ah, those romantic shapes were otherworldly indeed!

The latest Alberta Ferretti fall 2013 collection brings a riot of perennial favorites oozing a timeless chicness. There was a special wow-worthy feeling given by jaw-dropping embroideries, dainty lace frills, floral embellishments, and plissé. One could not help but fall in love with those adorable ruffles on the short flared skirts and the tapestry on fine black mesh dresses. Oh, and what do you think about the high collars? Absolutely fabulous!

Still, besides the black and white ensembles, Alberta Ferretti also displayed some eye-catching colors in the second part of the show. There were show-stealing jeweled tones like sapphire, ruby, amethyst and emerald that wowed the audience.

The new Alberta Ferretti fall 2013 collection featured elegant skirts, silk blouses and tuxedo jackets yet dresses seemed to be the key pieces. “I like the idea of natural elegance,” Alberta Ferretti said. And those velvet gowns were utterly sophisticated and cute! Well, everything screamed maximum femininity and the clean, ladylike silhouettes were simply irresistible. Just have a look!
