Honored by the Council of Fashion Designers of America with the Fashion Icon Award in 2015, Pharell Williams joins an iconic list of winners, including Rihanna, Kate Moss and Johnny Depp. “If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindness and openness," CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg explained.

2015 Grammy Awards
Showing on the red carpet in an Adidas look is a bad idea, unless you designed it yourself. Pharrell’s look was a bit casual, but the artist really managed to pull it off, accompanied by is wife Helen Lasichanh, who wore and Adidas onesie.
Pharrell’s gray look, that photographed white under strong flash lights, was definitely sporty, but it didn’t lack sophistication.
2014 Grammy Awards
The debut of the Vivienne Westwood Mountain Hat was definitely one of Pharrell’s most stylish moments. Williams’ over-sized has instantly became a meme. When he decided to sell it with all profits going to “From One Hand to Another”, a charity designed to help children learn through arts and technology, fast food chain Arby’s paid $44,100 for the iconic hat.
2014 Academy Awards
A black version of Pharrell’s hat showed up at the Oscars, where Williams gave an unforgetable performance. His style was on point for the sporty vibe, with a track jacket and red sneakers, especially since Pharrell already made a strong impression on the red carpet in a Lanvin tux with shorts. Shimmying with Lupita Nyong’s and Meryl Streep was definitely a highlight of his performance, along with his look.
2014 – The Mickey Mouse Band-Aid
Using a blemish to make a fashion statement, Pharrell showed up at the the 2014 TIME 100 Gala in New York City wearing a Mickey Mouse band-aid. The band-aid on his chin, along with the iconic hat became one of Pharrell’s most stylish moments, and it also led to plenty of memes, including a Twitter account dedicated to the band-aid.
2013 – Wedding Tartan
After getting photographed by Terry Richardson with a tartan dress shirt, Pharrell also chose plaid as his wedding theme. While his bride wore a navy tartan gown, Pharrell went for red, pulling off one of the most unique looks for a groom, and still looking amazing on the big day.
2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards
Proving that he can pull off a traditional look just as well as more casual or sporty ones, Pharrell Williams opted for a Lanvin black suit with a white dress shirt. The slick look ended up as one of Pharrell’s most stylish moments, because he accessorized it perfectly with a black bowtie, leather tassel loafers and just the right amount of facial hair.
2012 – Camo Suit
At Moncler’s 60th anniversary dinner party during Art Basel Miami, Pharrell went for a more daring look. Custom made for the singer, the Moncler camo-print suit features his now iconic shorts, along with a bow tie and matching shoes.
2008 – Madonna’s “Give It 2 Me”
After collaborating with Madonna in the studio for her “Hard Candy” album, Pharrell showed up in the Queen of Pop’s “Give It 2 Me” video, with one of his most iconic accessories. After noticing he never parts from his purple Hermes tote, Madonna requested it to be included in the video, resulting in one of Pharrell’s most stylish moments.
2007 – Billionaire Boys Club Launch
Pharrell has many fashion collaborations over the years, from Louis Vuitton to Adidas, but one of his biggest moments in the fashion world was the launch of his Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Footwear labels in New York.
