We're in the middle of summer so we are packing and getting ready for new adventures. Italian actress Monica Bellucci shares with The Telegraph some of her holiday style essentials. Check it out!
Perfect expression of Mediterranean beauty, Monica Bellucci
began modeling at age 13, while her film career started in the
early 1990s. The stunning 47-year-old actress, considered as an
Italian sex symbol, appeared in numerous films and has been chosen
as the new face of Dolce &
Gabbana.
The Telegraph got the chance to sit down for a chat with the
actress and talk about her holiday essentials. "A long dress that
you can add jewellery to for evenings and wear plain during the
day. Even though I'm photographed in black a lot, when I'm tanned I
like to wear a colour," Bellucci says. "A lace top. I'll wear it
with jeans for lunch or at night with a black lace skirt."
The actress seems to know what suits her best when it comes to
fashion choices. "Wherever I go, there's always a little
knee-length black dress in my case. I'm very curvy and I like to
keep things classic and simple," Monica told The Telegraph. "A
gypsy dress - it's the complete opposite of a little black dress,
but on holiday it's the one time you can wear it," she added.
On her favorite swimwear pieces, Bellucci reveals that, "I take
four bikinis: Eres, Dolce & Gabbana. And then I'll buy some
when I'm away. Lisa Marie Fernandez does beautiful, flattering ones
that really enhance your shape."
She doesn't forget about the accessories. "A hat. I don't like huge
floppy ones, they're not practical when it comes down to it. I like
a medium brim, lightweight straw and I wear it all the time,"
Monica shares. "Black-framed sunglasses. I always take spares."
The gorgeous starlet admits she loves jewelry. "I'm a huge
jewellery fan. Costume jewellery is perfect for holidays, but it
has to be great quality. Big chandelier earrings are a must in my
case, at least one pair. They take up no space and they'll
transform the plainest T-shirt."
As on shoes, Bellucci says that, "Heels. It's tempting just to pack
flats when you go on holiday, but there's always at least one
evening when you'll wish you packed heels. Sparkly, metallic or
lace look amazing with a tan."
What about books and music? "Michel Coquet's Pourquoi Sommes-Nous
Sur Terre? (Why we Are Here on Earth?) It's very spiritual, but I
don't have time to read it much because of the children," Monica
confesses. "Sade. She's always my iPod holiday listening because
she relaxes me."
