Singer Jennifer Hudson is venturing off into the fashion world as the diva has announced a collaboration with QVC. The line will debut in September, so sneak-a-peek at some of the designs that aim to overlap style and comfort!
After receiving world recognition for her mesmerizing vocals and
acting talent in 'Dreamgirls', singer and actress Jennifer Hudson
is broadening her horizon by venturing off into the world of
fashion design as the 30 year old has just landed a deal with QVC
to create her own line which is set to launch this September.
This is not the first time that celebrities decide to put their
skills to the test and create an affordable clothing line for
women, but it's the first time to give this domain a try for
Jennifer, who wanted to offer women the chance to find fashionable
outfits that can easily be worn and are constructed with comfort in
mind. Ms. Hudson, who managed to shock the world when she became a
spokesperson for Weight Watchers and managed to drop 10 dress
sizes, going from a size 16 to a size 6, knows the difficulties
voluptuous women encounter when it comes to fashion, so after
losing 80 pounds and making it look like a breeze, the singer
decided to create a fashion line for different size women.
According to WWD, the 'American Idol' finalist said:
“I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size,
whatever you want to call it. But I wanted the clothes to be where
any girl could wear it — no matter what size you are — and you
could feel comfortable in it.”
The collection will feature everything from coats to dresses,
shirts and most importantly leggings as apparently Jennifer can't
have enough of them as the diva confessed that she's got about 300
stylish pairs. Jennifer says that she chose to add plenty of
leggings into her upcoming QVC collection as:
“I’m the legging queen. What I love about a legging is, again, it’s
a piece you can dress up or down and it’s still comfortable.”
The collection will make its debut starting September 10 and will
feature affordable fashion items, such as a $75 sheer maxiskirt, a
$74.50 bodycon dress and $50 leggings, so browse through the pretty
garments that have been unveiled by QVC and tell us if you see
anything you like!
