Australian Bella Heathcote, Brit Juno Temple and American Zoe
Kravitz are the three beauties gracing NYLON's latest cover for the
magazine's special May 2012 Young Hollywood issue. Each actress has
a lot to say about life behind a movie screen. Check out these
highlights from their interview!
Speaking about fame, Zoe Kravitz, who recently ended the mysterious
sci-fi epic 'After Earth' with M. Night Shyamalan, says that, "I
think because of the Internet and everyone's obsession with
celebrity and paparazzi and blogs and phones being hacked, we have
an incredible amount of access to other people's lives. People now
expect more than a performance. They expect to know what you do and
what you're wearing and who you're f*****g and what you ate that
day and what time you took a s**t."
"[When I was at Jennifer Lawrence's house] she was like, 'Can we
just stay home and watch TV all night? I can't leave my house.' And
I was like, 'Jen, I'm not going to bulls**t you. This isn't going
away tomorrow,'" Zoe added.
On her personal style, Kravitz admits that, "I feel like everyone
thinks that everyone should look the same - clean cut. If I go to a
party and my hair's messy and my shirt's ripped or whatever, it's
like, 'She's a crackhead.' I'm like, 'Do I have to look like a
f*****g perfect Barbie doll?' The cool thing about fashion is that
if you do it right, it's an art form and it's a way to express
yourself."
Australian actress Bella Heathcote, who is starring in Dark
Shadows with Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer, talks to the
magazine about her plans of becoming an actress. "By the end [of
school] I was like, I'm just gonna do acting, and if that doesn't
work out, then I'll pursue something else. Why would I aim for the
fallback plan? That seemed a bit s**t," the young star
confesses.
Last year, Bella was caught in a scandal when a tabloid acclaimed
that the lovely actress hooked up with her 'Cogan’s Trade' co-star
Brad Pitt. In the interview with NYLON, Heathcote dishes on being
mislabeled as Pitt's mistress and says that, "I was just like,
'This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read!' The worst thing
was, I started getting emails from my friends and family in
Australia. They were like, 'How could you? You didn't even tell
me!'"
British actress Juno Temple, whose collection of films planned to
come out in the next year might make her 2013's Jessica Chastain,
reveals to NYLON L.A.'s big life lesson.
"When you get off a plane in L.A. it's like no one gives a s**t
what you've done; they wanna know what you're going to do. It's
kind of a great way to look at life," Temple confesses.
'Little Birds' director Elgin James speaks about Juno and describes
the young actress saying that, "She's probably one of the toughest
and bravest people I know. I'm not saying that just as words. I was
in a ganG for 20 years, you know, and hands-down this little
English thing is the most loyal, tough, brave friend that I
have."
