Shakira and Gerard Piqué Reveal Pregnancy Photos

Shakira and her beau have organized a virtual baby shower in association with UNICEF and as a surprise they've shared intimate snaps of Shakira's bare baby bump. Check out the snaps!

Shakira and her heartthrob boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, were never too keen on putting their relationship on full display for the media to comment on since the beginning and especially during her pregnancy. It seems that a noble cause has turned things around as Shakira and Gerard Piqué revealed pregnancy photos for a virtual charity event put together in association with UNICEF. The couple's photo session is part of a virtual baby shower done in collaboration with UNICEF to help children living in poor conditions across the world!

Apparently, the expectant parents, who are preparing to welcome their first son, chose to have people participate in their baby shower, well virtually, and instead of receiving gifts for themselves, the couple encourages people to purchase Inspired Gifts for those in need. These gifts, such as vaccines, therapeutic food packets, mosquito nets, baby scales and oral rehydration salts, are to be sent as aid for children living in extremely poor conditions, and this is a charitable event that everyone can participate in!

Shakira and Gerard Piqué have expressed their joy of being able to join forces with UNICEF to help save the lives of thousands of children around the world in a video that features the couple saying:

“As you all know, we will soon be welcoming our first child into the world, and to celebrate his birth we've organized a virtual baby shower in association with UNICEF. In lieu of receiving gifts for our baby as with a traditional shower we would like to offer support for babies who live in conditions of extreme poverty throughout the world. Thanks to all of you, they will receive in the form of inspired gifts, therapeutic food packages, vaccines, and rehydration salts, which will help save the lives of hundred of thousands of babies throughout the world. We'd like to thank you in advance, and we are very very happy to know that we can count on your support.”

As a reward for those interested, the couple decided to put on display an intimate photoshoot featuring a heavily pregnant Shakira along with her beau, photographs taken in December 2012 by Jaume de Laiguana.
