When you think of celebrities, you picture them as being cool around each other as only fans flip-out when they see their favorite celeb, right? Wrong! as it seems that they are no different from the rest of the world in this domain, just as Selena Gomez proved when she met her longtime crush, Shia LaBeouf.

Selena Gomez's popularity has been increasing gradually since she first became known as a singer and actress. This Hollywood sweetheart managed to create a media frenzy when she has been seen in the company of heartthrob Justin Bieber. The two finally admitted their relationship after months of speculations, but it seems that there is another man in Selena's heart, and that is Shia LaBeouf, Hollywood's latest bad-boy.

It seems that Selena has great taste in men, as both Shia and Justin Bieber are super-talented, handsome, popular and manage to sweep women off their feet. Although she's dating Bieber, and has received tons of hate-mails for it, Selena Gomez still keeps her crush Shia in her mind and heart.

Back in 2008, Selena Gomez joked with the reporters which were curious about her private life by telling them that they should let Shia know she is available, and judging by her reaction, she clearly has a thing for Shia, whom she met recently backstage at a television studio.

The people behind the encounter are Selena Gomez's staff, which wanted to surprise Selena, and so they did. Selena's reaction after seeing Shia backstage is priceless, and proves that stars too have the same “weird” reactions as everyone else. Selena's first reaction is to say hi and then turn around to flee the scene. As a gentleman, Shia goes after her and the two get properly acquainted, asking if they could take a picture together. Overwhelmed by the entire situation, Selena then retreats to her room and flips-out. After sinking in what just happened, she realizes what her first reaction was...walking away. She then says “He's so cute, he's so handsome” which is true, but we guess Justin won't be so pleased about her affirmation!

After saying that Shia now probably thinks she's crazy, LaBeouf's publicist reassures her that it's not the case by saying:
“That's actually nice and refreshing to see somebody that genuine... Trust me, he likes it.”

This encounter seems to have made Selena's day as she wrote on her twitter account : "Best ...Day...Ever" followed by a link with the priceless moment caught on film.
