Inside the magazine, the “Gossip Girl” star talks about her love life, her former crazy party girl lifestyle, her supposed rivalry with co-star Blake Lively, but also about her newest movie "Country Strong".
Leighton Meester posed at the Jane Hotel in New York City for the
January issue of “Allure” magazine in sexy lingerie and Louis Vuitton
raincoat. The 24-year-old actress, singer-songwriter and fashion
model, who became famous due to her role as Blair Waldorf in the
television series “Gossip Girl” spoke without reserve in the
interview sharing many important moments from her past. Moreover,
she said that she will leave “Gossip Girl” in two years, when the
contract expires.
After ending her relationship with co-star Sebastian Stan, the
“Country Strong” actress is now single and it seems to enjoy it. “I
don't see the point in dating. I hate it,” she said. “It's
wonderful to be in love. And it's definitely wonderful to cuddle
and have sex and get to experience life with somebody. But it's OK
if you don't find him and you're 24. You can find it
someday.”
About the Blair and Chuck love relationship, Leighton says that “I
love Chuck and Blair. I can really relate to it - not necessarily
because it's this dramatic, tumultuous relationship, but because
the way they love each other is very real, and not for the sake of
being dramatic," she explained. "It's actual love. There's nobody
for each other but them.”

The actress also opens up and talks about her party girl past
and the wild life she had when she lived in Los Angeles. “We had
craaaazy parties,” she reveals in the magazine. “We had DJs, bands,
an ice luge, a fire twirler. One of my roommates burned off her
bangs on the stove trying to light a cigarette.”
However, it seems that these days things have changed a little.
“When I first moved to New York [for "Gossip Girl"], we would go
out all the time,” she remembers. “I've never gotten too crazy, but
I definitely got to have experiences.” But, she continues, saying
that “Now, I don't want to do anything that's unhealthy for me. I
mean, drinking is one thing - overdrinking is another. And drugs
are something I don't tolerate at all.”
When being asked about her supposed rivalry with Blake Lively,
Meester says that they do get along and that “It's unfortunate when
women are pitted against each other, like with 'Sex and the City'.
People say, 'They're jealous of each other.' Come on! They're all
rich, successful, great actresses.”
Leighton
Meester takes her career to a whole new level with the
upcoming flick “Country Strong”. The movie is a Nashville drama in
which Meester co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw and which
gives her the possibility to show her singer talent. Speaking about
her older co-stars, she says that “Gwyneth's just chilled out,
well-balanced. She's not uppity in any way. She's got a family and
kids and a really healthy lifestyle.” As for McGraw, “he's a
prankster, a flirt. He'll make up a little song about you. He's got
a devious twinkle in his eye.”
