After being the ambassador of the Herbal Essences brand it seems that the advertising business is a highly profitable one for the young actress as the road to success is just beginning to open up. Those who estimated that Leigthton Meester was making a fortune with acting career will be even more surprised to find out that the value of the contract that the she just signed.
The contract which stipulates the fact that the young actress
will be the face of the Vera Wang new fragrance for a two year
period is set to be worth an astounding $ 3 million.
Although there are few details when it comes to top notes of the new fragrance and even the name of the fragrance, the reasons for this magnificent choice for the advertising campaign have been revealed by the designer herself.
The famous designer told WWD: “Her beauty, talent and spirit will inspire all the young women that I hope will enjoy this passionate, new young fragrance”.
Considering the amazing popularity of the style icon as well we are inclined to say that the choice of the brand is a very inspired one. Leighton is the second 'Gossip Girl' star to land a fragrance deal after Taylor Momsen signed a similar deal for John Galliano's Parlez-moi d’Amour fragrance back in July this year. It remains to be seen which of the two advertising campaigns will be the best received by the public.
Although the shootings for the campaign made by Carter Smith have already started this weekend in Manhattan we will have to wait before we will actually get to see the perfume in store. The anticipation can indeed be a powerful weapon especially if we are talking about the young starlet, a strong evidence that the latest marketing campaign of the brand has every chance to be a resounding success.
