Lauren Conrad keeps herself extremely busy these days. What is the lovely former reality TV star up to? Lauren made a great announcement in the interview for 'Allure' magazine saying that she is planning to launch a beauty website called The Beauty Department.
Long admired for her style, self-confidence and genuineness,
Lauren Conrad managed to prove
that she can really handle things into the business world. After TV
shows, books, fashion lines and fruitful collaborations, Lauren is
now planning to launch a beauty website called The Beauty
Department.
The 25-year-old former reality TV star has shared her new project
to all her fans on 'Allure' magazine’s Facebook page, as guest
editor of this page. "I'm obsessed with beauty too. My new beauty
website is launching right now! Check out thebeautydepartment.com
for beauty tips and video tutorials, like how to do the hottest
runway tricks and do beachy curls," Lauren wrote.
In order to make this website possible, Lauren has teamed up with
her makeup artist Amy
Nadine and her hairstylist Kristin Ess. On the new website you will
find useful beauty secrets, runway trends and how-to tips and
tricks. Besides, it seems that Lauren will be starring in some
video tutorials. Lauren also told in the interview for the May issue of
'Allure' that she would like to eventually have a cosmetics
and hair line.
Lauren Conrad had a very natural evolution proving her
creativity and professionalism in all
the projects she initiated. Two-time 'New York Times' bestselling
author and talented fashion designer, Lauren has taken every single
opportunity and transformed it into a reality.
Speaking about her latest fashion collection called 'Paper
Crown', Conrad said that, "When I was designing [the
collection] I wanted to do pieces that could be worn lots of
different ways – I think it’s nice to invest in pieces you can wear
throughout a few seasons. It’s modern but not overly trendy. I
wanted an overall romance feel to the line, balanced out with a
couple tailored pieces for a slight menswear feel and the leather
pieces to balance out the chiffons."
Lauren also loves writing. Her first book, 'LA Candy' was released
in June of 2009 and has topped the 'New York Times' Best Seller
list for seven weeks. "If someone said to me five years ago when
this all started that I would one day make the 'New York Times'
Best Seller list I wouldn't have believed it," Conrad told 'People'
exclusively.
Next, it was 'Sweet Little Lies', her subsequent book, released in
February 2010, which also hit number one on 'New York Times'
bestseller list. Then, in October 2010, 'Sugar and Spice' was
released, along with 'Style'.
Even though in February 2011 MTV canceled Lauren's new reality
show, she managed to sign a three-book deal with the HarperCollins
publishing house. The new trilogy, entitled 'The Fame Game', will
center around 'LA Candy's' villainous character Madison Parker.
"We took the mean girl of the 'L.A. Candy' books, spinning her off.
This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and
that's all she's ever really wanted. She has fun with the press,
she enjoys the attention, she welcomes scandal," Lauren told Us
Weekly.
