If there is one girl that doesn't need no further introduction,
that is Lauren Conrad.
The gorgeous 25-year-old former reality-star-turned-designer and NY
best-selling author graces the cover of 'Lucky' magazine, the July
2011 issue. As usually, Lauren flaunts a flawless smile and
beautiful long tresses. On the cover she wears leather shorts and a
blazer from her new clothing line 'Paper Crown'. Lauren shares some
interesting things in the interview speaking about MTV cancelling
her show, hating the gym, but also about 'The Hills' and her new
collection 'Paper
Crown'.
"It’s easier to launch the line without MTV. A lot of people in
fashion don’t want to be linked with anything that has to do with
reality TV. Showrooms were turning us down," Lauren told 'Lucky'
about launching 'Paper Crown' without MTV's support.
Lauren announced in September last year that she will be doing a
new reality show for MTV which was supposed to focus more on her
work as a fashion designer rather than
her personal life. Still, MTV cancelled the show saying that they
"didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it".
Speaking about this, Lauren told 'Lucky' that, "It didn’t feel like
a perfect fit. It’s difficult to compete with all the Jersey
Shore-type shows out there. Besides, there weren’t any scenes of me
getting drunk or fighting, so what’s the point?"
Lauren Conrad became famous due to MTV's reality series 'Laguna
Beach: The Real Orange County' and 'The Hills'. Now, the young star
admits that 'The Hills' helped her a lot in launching her career as
fashion designer. "I never wanted to end up in entertainment; that wasn't the goal. I
was doing the show to end up in fashion. But I'm totally aware that
without 'The Hills,' I wouldn't be where I am."
Whether she's wearing a casual, daytime outfit or sporting a
stunning red-carpet dress, Lauren always manages to make a flawless
appearance. And this requires a lot of hard work. She might not be
the uber-skinny type of girl, yet she looks amazing. Still, Conrad
admits she hates going to the gym. Why? "I'm just not a fan of the
gym. In fact, I hate it. I understand loving the feeling you get
after working out all those endorphins. But going there? It's the
worst," she told the magazine.
However, she tries to compensate this by adopting healthier
diet and she admits she has changed her eating
habits. "I’m now focusing a lot more on my health. I no longer eat
pork, I rarely eat beef, and I don’t like chicken now because my
mother keeps four hens as pets. I’m not kidding," Lauren says.
