Kim Kardashian has found that she is suffering from an incurable skin condition called psoriasis, skin condition that has been passed on by her mother, who got psoriasis when she was exactly Kim's age. Find out more details next!
With just a couple of weeks to her fairytale wedding, Kim Kardashian has found herself
in a difficult spot as she has learned that she has an incurable
skin condition called psoriasis. Apparently, the diva who is envied
for her amazing beauty and flawless looking skin has woken-up to
find a terrible rash that spread all over her body. Kim Kardashian
covers the entire story of her skin condition in her reality TV
series Keeping Up with The Kardashians.
After being scared by her sister, who believed the flaky red
patches on her skin were caused by ringworms, Kim turns towards a
specialist's opinion, a dermatologist who tells her that the red
patches are actually psoriasis. Psoriasis is a chronic
immune-mediated disease that affects the skin, but that is not
contagious.
Apparently, Kim Kardashian isn't the only one in the family with
this skin condition, as her mom Kris Jenner has been struggling
with the condition from the time she was the same age as Kim. After
Kim finds out that the skin condition is incurable, but
controllable, she panics. Her doctor tells her the psoriasis is
affected by travelling, diet and fast lifestyle and suggests to
lead a slow-paced life. Slow paced is definitely not a word in
Kim's vocabulary as she tells her doctor firmly: “It's just not
possible!”
Kim rushes back from the dermatologists office and heads to her
mom's house to confront her. Kim blames her mom for passing on the
skin condition to her and tries to deal with things. Kim's career
is all about image and this could really affect her in everything
she does. Kim states in the episode which covers her trouble with
psoriasis that:
“My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photo shoots. People
don't understand the pressure on me to look perfect. When I gain a
pound, it's in the headlines. Imagine what the tabloids would do to
me if they saw all these spots?”
However, it seems that Kim has found a way to deal with the rash
and do the ad video she had scheduled, although she insisted that
her mom had it canceled. Makeup is yet again a saver for Kim as she
manages to cover every spot with the help of high coverage makeup products.
Do you think that Kim's career will be affected by this skin
condition?
