Justin Timberlake brings sexy back in a shoot for 'Vanity Fair' July 2011. This 30-year-old 'free man in L.A.' opens up in the interview with the magazine and talks about his long-lasting love for Jessica Biel and wanting a family some day, about his relationship with Britney Spears, but also his early years as a pop idol and future plans.
He is handsome and talented. He has sex-appeal and his seductive
potential is incontestable. He is a successful pop singer who won
numerous awards. We are talking, of course, about Justin
Timberlake. Sporting an elegant blazer and black trousers, the
30-year-old hunk is showing his sexiest looks for Vanity Fair's
July 2011 issue. In the interview, Justin opens up to the
magazine's contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis and talks about
his love for recent ex-girlfriend Jessica Biel,
but also about Britney Spears
and his future career plans.
Justin and Jessica Biel were a couple for more than four years.
Early this year their
relationship ended, the two mutually deciding to part ways.
However, it seems that the singer-turned-actor still has special
feelings for the actress. "She is the single-handedly most
significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most
special person, O.K.? … I don’t want to say much more, because I
have to protect things that are dear to me—for instance, her," JT
told 'Vanity Fair'.
As for marriage, Justin says that, "I think the mistake is that
people commit to who that person is right then and not the person
they’re going to become. That’s the art of staying together, is
changing together. When you say it like that, it seems damn near
impossible, right?" Nevertheless, Justin confesses he wants a
family and plans to settle down some day. "...as little as six
months ago I wouldn’t have even thought about that, but now it
feels like a closer planet orbiting around," he admits.
On celebrities dating other celebrities,
Justin explains the reason behind this reality. "Why do you think
we all like each other? Why do you think we wind up dating each
other, and feeling more comfortable around each other? We
understand what it's like. 'Oh, thank God—finally, somebody who
knows how I feel.' It's refuge," the singer told the magazine.
Justin dated Britney Spears from 1999 to 2002. On their
relationship, the singer says that he hasn't spoken to her in
almost 10 years. "I wish her the best—that goes without saying. We
haven’t spoken in 9 or 10 years. We were two birds of the same
feather—small-town kids, doing the same thing. But then you become
adults, and the way you were as kids doesn’t make any sense. I
won’t speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different
person. I just don’t think we were normal; there was nothing normal
about our existence. We spent way too much time being the biggest
thing for teenyboppers," he says.
Timberlake also recalls his early years of fame. "It was exciting
that we were having so much success and we could do whatever we
wanted. And I mean that about everybody: Backstreet Boys, ’NSync,
Britney, Christina. At that time, we
could literally go, 'Oh, man, let’s go to Bali,' and we’d be on a
plane to Bali. We were little kids with big toys. You do the
math—that’s not going to last."
He then remembers the days in 'The All-New Mickey Mouse Club'.
"Ryan [Gosling] and I used to steal golf carts and go driving in
the middle of the park to get milk shakes, and we never got in
trouble for it. We thought we were big s***," he told the
magazine.
What about his career plans? Justin says that, "I wouldn’t say I’m
not going to put out another [album]. I would say that would be a
bad bet, if you were betting. But I could see myself only doing one
more big tour."
