Hollywood stud Justin Timberlake attended the Marine Corps Ball after receiving an invitation from a marine Corporal over the summer. Apparently, the event has impressed the singer very much as he turned to his website to share his experience with fans and friends.

It seems that Justin Timberlake is a man of his word as he has honord the invitation that went viral, invitation made by Corporal Kelsey DeSantis to attend the Marine Corps Ball. The video reached Justin and he agreed to the invite and it seems the entire experience has enchanted the singer.

Justin Timberlake's decision to attend the Marine Corps Ball seems to have been a great one as post the event the singer turned to his website to let his fans, friends and family in on the entire experience. It appears the event was “one of the most moving evenings I've ever had...”, and this seems to be out of the singer's heart as he has dedicated an entire page to The Basic School Instructor Battalion 236th Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

In the video, marine Corporal Kelsey DeSantis asks Mr. Timberlake to join her at the Marine Corps Ball and even squeezes in a joke by saying: “I'm going to call you out and ask you to come to the Marine Corps ball with me on Nov. 12. ... And if you can't go, all I have to say is, cry me a river.”

It seems that Justin didn't want to 'cry her a river', so he gladly accepted the invite. The evening went on perfectly just like the singer/actor pictured it would, but the details that followed have really managed to impress him. He tells his friends and fans via his website that he was very impressed by his ball partner, Kelsey, whom he managed to get to know a little bit by spending some time chatting before the ball started. Justin wrote:

“She seemed to me to be so humble and honest... Very cool. She also simultaneously seemed like she was nervous about the whole evening and if I was going to enjoy myself. 'Are you ok?' she asked 2 or 3 times. 'I hope you are having fun. I know you will once my crew of friends get here to the table.' I have to tell you, it's not every day that I meet a 23 year old girl and she's more worried about if I'm having fun or if I'm comfortable! It hit me all of a sudden that these were the type of people that look after us and our freedom... Humble, concerned for others before themselves... This was the type of person our Marine Corps was building. I was really blown away.”

Justin, who has more than once expressed his admiration for the military that put the lives of others before their own, continued by describing the incredible experience of being among true soldiers and telling that this night has changed his life.
The superstar concluded by saying:

“To people like me who get to benefit from this type of person... One with character and courage. With strength and bravery. With humility and honor... I say: Send your thanks. Do it however you can. Write a letter, type an email... Hell, buy 'em a beer next time you run into someone from our Armed Forces in a bar. When they say thank you for that drink that cost you 3 bucks, they'll mean it. They won't take it for granted and, they won't forget it.
Thank you Corporal Kelsey DeSantis. Thank you for inviting me. And, thank you for being my hero.”
